THE RIGHT THING

I think jeans and shirt are the perfect combo for any season, it's timeless and easy to pull together; it always looks right! If you are looking to add a more sophisticated look just add some heeled sandals or ankle boots and you will be ready to wear this look for many occasions, specially during the spring season. I added a few sparkles of gold and my go-to bag that you have already seen so many times on the blog, but it has the perfect size and design ;) I have to say that the light played an important role on the pictures this time as I wanted to broadcast peace and a freedom through a very feminine and special look.

Creo que el combo de jeans + camisa es un acierto seguro cualquier temporada, un conjunto que nunca pasa de moda y que cualquiera puede crear ya que ¿quién no tiene unos jeans y una camisa blanca en el armario? Yo añadí unas sandalias con tacón para dar un toque más sofisticado y conseguir un look muy ponible para casi cualquier ocasión y que no falla en primavera. El resto del look coge forma gracias a algunos toques dorados en los accesorios y mi bolso con print de leopardo que es ya una pieza imprescindible en mi armario! El toque final lo aporta la luz en las fotos ya que sin duda el atardecer es mi momento preferido para tomar fotos (aunque no siempre es posible) ya que crea unos colores espectaculares en las fotografías.

FALL DRESSING

I am not much of a dress person, specially living in Ireland and usually, it is difficult to find a dress that is flattering and versatile at the same time; a piece that I can dress up or down. With no doubt, this is one meets all of those requirements and despite of the fact that it has a daring cut, the fabric gives it that edgy touch making it the perfect dress for fall.

In this occasion, I combined it with flat ankle boots and maxi cardigan for that casual and super versatile look that I was able to wear from day to night.

No soy mucho de llevar vestidos, sobre todo viviendo en Irlanda; además, no me parece fácil encontrar vestidos que se adapten a mi estilo, que aunque siendo favorecedores puedan ofrecerme versatilidad y los pueda llevar tanto en looks más casuales como para días en los que me apetezca arreglarme un poco más. Sin duda, éste es uno de ellos, que aunque tenga un corte algo atrevido conserva ese toque desenfadado convirtiéndole en el vestido perfecto para el otoño/invierno.

En esta ocasión decidí combinarlo con botines planos y maxi-cárdigan para conseguir un look casual pero que pude llevar tanto por la mañana para dar una vuelta por la ciudad, como por la noche para tomar algo con unos amigos.

TARTAN SHIRT

I really wanted to show you a look with my new tartan print shirt. I have to say that this is one of my favourite trends of the season as I think you can easily put together a really chic but relaxed outfit with just one printed garment. In this case, I chose this fabulous shirt from Zara, after trying different styles from a number of shops, that I combined with my favourite pair of jeans from American Eagle Outfitters, suede boots and black leather jacket that gives that grunge but super trendy touch to any outfit. Even though I loved the fit of the shirt, I got size L for that boyfriend touch.

Tenía muchas ganas de enseñaros un look con mi nueva camisa de estampado “tartan” ya que es una de las tendencias  que más me gustan de la temporada ya que me parece bastante fácil de combinar para el día a día. Después de probarme varias camisas en distintas tiendas me decidí por esta de Zara ya que me parece que tiene el color y la forma perfecta (eso sí, es la talla L para que quede tipo boyfriend). Sólo tuve que añadir los que se han convertido en mis jeans favoritos, botines de ante y cazadora de cuero negra para dar ese toque desenfadado pero chic al outfit.

THE FORMULA

The Formula, that's how call this type of look, the one that really works for me and probably for most of us = Jeans + Blazer + Heels + Statement handbag.

Even though it's a really simple outfit to put together, it is really flattering and chic. The outfit is made of pieces I bought in New York (pictures were taken there as well), and I have to say I am very happy with all of my purchases there, but specially the fabulous Steve Madden shoes and this white blazer that it's for me, the perfect one.

La fórmula, así es como llamo yo a este tipo de looks que me funciona perfectamente en cualquier ocación, y seguro que a muchas de vosotras también = Jeans + Blazer + Tacón + Bolso.

Aunque sea un look bastante fácil de conjuntar, siempre funciona por ser favorecedor y con un toque chic. Como no, el outfit se compone de prendas que compré en Nueva York (las fotos también son en NYC), pero sin duda el blazer blanco y las sandalias Steve Madden son, para mi, las prendas estrella del viaje.

WEST VILLAGE LIFE

I still have loads of pictures to show you from New York, specially outfit snaps! These ones were taken in one of my favourite parts of Manhattan, West Village, very close to Carrie Broadshaw's apartment! So as you can imagine, a very cool residential spot not far from Friends' house either. I really liked the result of wearing diffrent layers by combining a black leather mini skirt that I DIYed (as it had a flounce), grey t-shirt and white and blue stripped shirt, all from past seasons, except for the sneakers. The denim bag was a free gift from NY Fashion Week, a really comfy handbag when visiting a new city.

Todavía me quedan bastantes fotos que enseñaros de Nueva York, especialmente looks! Este en concreto es de de nuestro cuarto día en la Gran Manzana; las fotos las echamos en una zona que me encanta de Nueva York, el West Village, en concreto a pocos metros del apartamento de Carrie Broadshaw. Como ya véis una zona residencial bastante bonita y a pocos pasos de la famosa casa de Friends! Para look elegí llevara distintas capas y largos con la mini efecto piel negra (a la que le quité un volante que llevaba, viva el DIY), camiseta gris y camisa a rayas azules y blancas. Todo es de temporadas pasadas, excepto las zapatillas. El bolso vaquero fue uno de esos regalitos que te dan a las puertas de los shows de la NY Fashion Week, perfecto para visitar la ciudad.

Estad atentos, ya que dentro de poco publicaré un nuevo look de NY! Feliz día!
